Fancy Fridge by kristenaderrick

Siemens GS28NA21 Gefrierschrank

Want to keep an eye on your child while you are in busy toiling in the kitchen? Get the new Leap Frog's Fridge Phonics Magnetic Set and enjoy watching your child being totally occupied at learning the alphabets. The toy is suitable for age range of 2 - 5 years old.

The toy is a set of 26 colorful, magnetic alphabets and a magnetic letter reader that attaches securely to your fridge. Each letter, when inserted into the reader, talks, sings and teaches letter names, how to sound out that letter and speaks a word which begins with that letter. There is a button on the reader, which sings out the alphabet song. Just put a letter into the reader to hear its name, its sound and a new word.

Learning the alphabets is the first stepping stone toward learning to read and write. The fridge phonics introduces the child to the world of alphabets and words and helps them to listen and learn. The alphabet song is catchy and children tend to pick it up soon. In fact, it is so addictive that I too sing along with it many a times! The letters are colorful, bright and large and easy to grasp. There is a volume switch in the unit which has two settings, so that the volume can be set to a desired level.

The toy is not very expensive; it is priced at around $20. The magnetic letters and reader are very durable and stick on to magnetic surfaces. It can also be carried around by hand if required. The toy is not heavy and can take harsh playing scenarios. The toy can also withstand repeated plays. And repetition helps children learn things faster.

The letters are traceable and children do learn the alphabets pretty fast. The toy also enhances fine motor skills as the magnetic letters need to be in a particular position to be fitted into the reader. It is similar to shape sorter!

The fridge phonics help children develop their speech as kids try to imitate the sounds the toy makes. The toy has received positive reviews till now. Personally I would recommend this toy to all mothers of toddlers out there as it is sure to be an instant hit with the kids. If you have limited time to teach your kids, get the fridge phonics. It will definitely teach your kids to listen and learn.

We had great holiday, really ! O.k,, o.k! A FINE holiday. We cleaned my grandmere’s house while I tried to hide from my pesky 12 year old friend.that lived just down the street. So, well…. not very relaxing.
When I volunteered to do the dishes my grandmere would say:
-“No not like that !! Like this!!” A very simple thing became so hard because we had to do it HER way! Well like every grandmother, I guess…
We did have some good laughs though: At lunch one day my brother Severin was putting some cheese on his pasta, there was plenty left, but my grandmere cried:
-Don’t take all of it!!
-Oh that’s too bad cause I wanted to take all of it!! replied my brother sarcastically We all laughed but my grandmere couldn’t see the joke!!

Every day at my grandmere’s house when we took an ice cream in the freezer down in the cellar. Grandmere would ALWAYS ask about a hundred times:
-Did you close the freezer door right!?
-Oui, Memere.

The second part was no more relaxing: we drove 6 hours to the Alps to clean and organize our own house there because the renters moved out and left quite bit of junk there!
I love our house in the mountains. The forest is right behind us and we can climb around in it. It was cold and rainy, but we didn't care. We found a strange secret place on top of a ridge. It had a big chair made of wood (a throne!) and lots of corn laying around. We didn't know what it was for.

After two weeks there we drove another 6 hours back to my grandmere’s to take care of things while she was at the hospital getting a hip replacement(4th time!!) We stayed there until the 28th of August when Mom woke us up at 5 in the morning to pack up and drive to Paris. It wouldn’t have been so bad if we hadn’t gotten to the airport and found out that we were 3 hours early!!.

Yesterday, five more nations announced rosters for the 2010 men's Olympic hockey teams – Canada, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, and Czech Republic. The US roster will be the final announcement which is to be made on Friday during the Winter Classic.
